The Smith Art Gallery and Museum where we meet is full of interesting objects. Some of these relate to the history of the Free Church of Scotland. They have a blog that showcases some of these items. A recent blog looks at the iron boot heel that Dr. Chalmers wore as he walked out of the General assembly on the 18th May 1843 and Founded the Free Church of Scotland. It is truly amazing the way Gods providence works, that Stirling Free Church would be worshiping in the same building that holds such an important part of its history.
